Sedona Arizona

We took Friday and Monday off work and planned a great trip to mountain bike in Sedona Arizona.

Was about a 7 hour drive, left super early Friday and got in Friday afternoon.  Set up camp and had a nice dinner.

Saturday we got up early, geared up and drove in to "Bike and Bean" bike/coffee shop.  A local there goes by the name of "Duff" offered to take us and another guy from Canada to show us the trails.  We went out and had a blast.

Did 10 miles the first day and about 11 the 2nd day.  I think this is what mountain biking is all about.  Those trails were the most fun I have been on and the scenery is pretty amazing.

The weather got a little cold at night, freezing actually, but it was such a fun trip.

Riding on my "new to me" Rock Shox Recon was WAY nicer than the old fork.  Front end was much smoother.

Rock Shox Fork Upgrade

My friend got a new Fox fork, and I inherited his old Rock Shox fork, "Recon" which is much better than my old "Duke".

Installing it was actually much easier than i thought.  Had to get rid of some of the stickers to make it look a little nicer.

Having the "lock out" option should be nice for longer climbs and the extra travel should be nice.  probably much lighter too.
